WiMAX Aviation 2014 - Brussels to Explore Future Outlook of Airport Communications

2nd annual event focused on deployment of AeroMACS-based technologies for the aviation industry

 

HERNDON, VA – ICNS – April 8, 2014 – The WiMAX Forum®, the global body that certifies and promotes the compatibility and interoperability of broadband wireless products based on IEEE Standard 802.16, has announced WiMAX Aviation 2014 - Brussels, a two-day conference focused on the advancement of wireless technology standards for the global aviation community. The event will be held on May 14-15, at EUROCONTROL Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.

The purpose of the event is to foster collaboration between key players in the aviation and wireless industries. Building on the success of last year’s event, this year’s agenda will focus on current trends related to the deployment of a technology standard known as AeroMACS, for Aeronautical Mobile Airport Communication System. Sessions will highlight a range of topics, including best practices for operational efficiency, air interface specifications and certification, and deployment case studies.
