Wateen Telecom is a fast growing Telecoms power house in Pakistan. Its sister concern (Warid Telecom) has launched a national GSM cellular service in Pakistan. Apart from being a Long Distance International Operator which is also building a nationwide DWDM fiber optic ring, Wateen Telecom is set to launch the largest WiMAX Broadband Access network in the region. The broadband network will offer a range of cutting edge IMS based services including SIP based VoIP telephony, Internet access, and IP/MPLS based data VPNs in 22 major cities of Pakistan serving corporate and consumer customers.
