Asha Keddy is responsible for wireless standards and technology efforts at Intel. Prior to that she was responsible for the scaling of WiMAX products to different operators and with Telco and interoperability.

She has over 15 years of experience in wireless and mobile broadband technology areas and led or managed several efforts in these areas including strategic efforts around communications technologies such as WiMAX and PAN technologies as a part of Intel’s Corporate Technology Labs including MAC and cross layer systems research, performance analysis and characterization. Some of the efforts include standards and research work (for example 802.16m efforts, WiMAX forum), setting up the end-to-end performance competency for WiMAX a Intel to correlate coverage, capacity and performance.

Asha has also led efforts in the Wi-Fi area including end-to-end interoperability of the International Roaming Access Protocols; (Spec is currently across ETSI -TISPAN and Wi-Fi Alliance), end-to-end performance characterization of wireless networks; and innovative test technology methods for Intel® Centrino® Mobile Technology. She holds multiple patent filings and papers in these areas. She obtained her B.E. degree in Computer Engineering from Bombay University, India and her M.S. degree in Computer Science from Clemson University.
