Ms. Kristen Nieman is the Business Development Account Manager & Executive Assistant to the President of the WiMAX Forum. Her primary responsibilities are to provide executive level organizational development, leadership improvement, and senior administration. She has over eight years of experience as a senior level administrator in Federal agencies, post-secondary education institutions, and natural resource organizations. In 2002, she served as the Program Manager for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration at Langley Research Center where she gained valuable knowledge in the practical applications of remote sensing to enhance community benefits. In 2006, Kristen served as the Special Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator within the Department of Interior in the Ecological Services Office for the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. In 2007, she served as Assistant Director of Undergraduate Research and Recruitment in the Dean’s Office of the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science at Portland State University where her increasing responsibility included re-engineering design, fiscal management, survivor management, planning, and operations management. She earned a B.S. degree in Earth and Environmental Science from Virginia Wesleyan College, a Master’s Degree in Executive Management and Public Administration (M.P.A.) from the Mark O’ Hatfield School of Government where she graduated magnum cum laude and completed one year of her Doctorate (Ed.D) in Leadership from Portland State University. Kristen is recognized for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex strategic processes while working with sensitive materials that generate high public interest. She is a committed individual with pride in being direct, spontaneous and outgoing while simultaneously demonstrating excellent working relationships. |
