 Mr. Rich Hawkins leads the Technology department for the WiMAX Forum and currently serves as the Chairman of the Technical Steering Committee.  He is responsible for Standardization, Certification, Specification Development & Publishing, Regional Operations, PKI and Events.  Mr. Hawkins is a highly motivated and results oriented Telecommunications Executive with 18 years of experience in the wireless industry specializing in large scale national deployments.  Extensive experience from both a technical and project management perspective, including cross functional team leadership, business operations, site development, construction, logistics, spectrum clearing, management of RF design & planning, regulatory affairs, process & standards development, equipment engineering & integration and network optimization.  Proven success in organizational development, strategic planning, budgeting, and contract negotiation.  Prior to joining the WiMAX Forum in 2010, Mr. Hawkins held a senior program role consulting to T-Mobile to deploy there 3G network on over 25,000 sites nationally, reaching a population of over 200 million.  Previously, he was the Director of Program Management for Charles G Allen Contracting Co, Inc. where he built the Northwest business unit into the top revenue producing region in the company.  As Program Director at Wireless Facilities, Mr. Hawkins ran national turnkey programs for wireless carriers managing large scale national network deployment for major operators including RF design, equipment engineering, spectrum clearing, process development, equipment integration, site development, network optimization and operations.  Mr. Hawkins attended Western Washington University and studied Communications
