WiMAX Forum Marketing is pleased to welcome you to 2010. WiMAX Forum is entering the new year with a positive outlook built on the successes of 2009, and we would like to wish all of our members the best for this year.

Enclosed is our first round-up of news coverage for the new year, which is a great beginning to a year which we believe is set to become another year of growth for our truly disruptive technology. While 2009 was an exciting year for WiMAX, 2010 promises to bring more networks, more innovation and more choice for carriers, enterprises and consumers. WiMAX has passed its proving stage and now offers millions of customers across the globe the freedom of mobile broadband.

Sprint's Overdrive goes on sale Jan. 10 - January 7, 2010 (Network World)
Sprint will start selling its Overdrive wireless WiMax router on Jan. 10, allowing users to connect any Wi-Fi-enabled device to its WiMax network. Overdrive connects to Sprint's WiMax or 3G network and can be used to link up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices.

Huawei Starts WiMax Network in India - January 3, 2010 (Cell Phone News2.0)
Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. has launched the first Indian WiMAX commercial network in Ajmer, Rajasthan, India. Theyve struck an agreement with India Communications Corporation Limited (BSNL).
