This one-day course addresses the need for WiMAX™ OTA performance testing and MAC RPT considerations. Course contents include a detailed description of the different elements of RPT testing. Additionally, the course will review the WiMAX broadband power measurements, device orientation and setup requirements, and spherical pattern measurements. An in-depth lab demonstration including active device testing provides examples of RPT tests.
After the overview and demonstration, students will have a full understanding of the WiMAX Forum’s proposed Radiated Performance Test (RPT) and verification process.
This course is designed for students who want to understand the Radiated Performance Testing requirements as defined by the WiMAX Forum for Mobile WiMAX devices. It is targeted specifically at WiMAX Forum member companies; vendors implementing WiMAX solutions with emphasis on CPEs, laptops, and handsets; ODMs/OEMs; operators; and regulators.
