Three Easy Steps To Join the WiMAX Forum

Please review our Membership Levels & Fees to determine which level of membership is right for your company. Please note: If your company is a manufacturer you MUST join the Forum as a Principal Level member.

As a Principal member, your company has the right to submit products for certification, the right to vote on working documents, stand in as a Working Group or Task Group chair, stand for election to a board seat, and free access to the WiMAX Forum Spectrum & Regulatory Database.

Regular and Principal members have access to our membership websites, working group pages and documents, the right to attend working group face-to-face meetings and member conferences and the ability to network with other member companies.

Regular members may purchase access to the Spectrum & Regulatory Database for an additional $2,400.

 • Please note: Anyone can join as a Principal Member and if your company plans to submit products for certification, Principal membership is a must.

The next step is to review the Membership Agreement & other documents outlined on our Terms & Conditions page. In step three you will complete the online application and during this process you will be required to check a box that indicates that you agree to the terms of the membership agreement. Please take the time to carefully review the information on the Terms & Conditions page.

Once you select your membership level, you will be redirected to an online application. After you complete this application, you will receive confirmation via email that we have received the application. If you do NOT receive this email, please contact Membership Services.

After we receive the application, it is reviewed by the Membership Services team and sent to the Board of Directors for approval. This process normally takes 7-10 days if there are no questions regarding the application you submitted. 

Once your membership application has been approved, an invoice will then be generated and upon receipt of payment you will be sent, by email, a welcome package that will contain the following documents:

  • WiMAX Membership Acceptance Letter 
  • WiMAX Forum Certification Program Overview
  • WiMAX Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) (X.509 certificates)
  • Technical Activities and Working Groups
  • Contact Information for regional offices
  • Procedures for registration & Kavi tutorial
  • WiMAX Forum Events Overview and Calendar

You will then have full access to our internal website to begin enjoying the benefits of membership within the WiMAX Forum. We will then contact you directly for an introductory session to help get started with your new membership.
