Sagemcom and Sequans announced that new WiMAX devices, manufactured by Sagemcom and based on Sequans’ semiconductor solutions, are now available to customers in Europe and Asia. Sagemcom has introduced the SX686, an indoor WiMAX/WiFi gateway for SOHO customers, and the SX682, an indoor WiMAX modem for residential customers. Both of these devices are fully self-installable and deliver high performance WiMAX connectivity with excellent coverage.

Sequans’ new generation SQN1200 series of Mobile WiMAX semiconductor solutions are the most highly integrated chips in the industry. They integrate baseband and triple band RF in a single, 65 nm die, and they incorporate mimoMAX™, Sequans’ patented technology that combines a maximum likelihood MIMO decoder on the downlink with two transmit channels on the uplink for dynamically optimized diversity selection and uplink MIMO. Sequans’ technology delivers ultra high performance at a very low cost.
