PORTLAND, Ore. September 16, 2009 WiMAX Forum today announced the addition of a new member to its Board of Directors, CEO Dennis Sverdlov of Yota. Yota is a fast growing privately held operator of 4G Mobile WiMAX Internet services in Russia. Prior to his position as CEO, Sverdlov was a shareholder and member of the Board of Directors at Korus Consulting, one of the leading IT-consulting companies in Saint Petersburg, where he spent four years managing the sales department. Sverdlov found his way to Korus Consulting after he started his first business, IT-Vision, which specialized in automation systems for enterprises on the basis of Microsoft Navision program solutions. IT Vision eventually merged with Korus Consulting. Sverdlov graduated with a specialist degree in accounting, analyses and auditing from Saint Petersburg State University of Engineering and Economics. We became the first Russian company to join the WiMAX Forums board of directors, said Sverdlov. For two years we have worked hard to bring Mobile WiMAX to the market and promote this technology not only in Russia, but throughout the world.
