Roaming: Architecture (42)
The WiMAX Roaming Specifications (WiMAX Roaming Interface or WRI) define how operators exchange information to track usage, create invoices, and perform financial settlements. The Specifications include both Stage 2 and Stage 3 documents. Stage 2 documents provide detailed rules and requirements for implementing roaming services. Stage 3 documents are the detailed specifications for each of the interfaces. The Specifications are applicable to both direct connections between 2 NSPs or via 3rd party WiMAX Roaming Exchange (WRX). Both Stage 2 and Stage 3 documents are divided into six separate documents including:
•Overview
•AAA Proxy Service
•Wholesale Rating
•Clearing
